# Eligibility and compliance

Verification, participation requirements, and the controls that protect platform access.

Suno's primary desk requires identity verification to deposit or redeem. Ordinary token transfers do not require prior desk admission, allowing access through available secondary markets. Legal eligibility and token controls still apply; buying elsewhere does not automatically provide desk access.

## Participation requirements

Participants must have legal capacity, use lawfully obtained funds, and meet the verification, sanctions, and jurisdiction requirements in the [terms](/legal/terms-and-conditions.md). Individuals must be at least eighteen.

The terms restrict participation by citizens, residents, and entities of the United States, Canada, the People's Republic of China, Australia, Iran, and North Korea, as well as jurisdictions covered by the specified comprehensive sanctions. These restrictions apply to acquisition, holding, and transfer, not just use of Suno's interface. Additional risk-based screening applies during onboarding.

## Getting verified

Individuals provide identity and contact details, identification documents, and any required address or biometric checks. Entities also provide corporate records and information about representatives and beneficial owners. Additional evidence may be required for higher-risk cases.

Keep your information current. Approval can be reviewed or withdrawn if circumstances change or requirements are no longer met. Contractual rights to staking and distributions also depend on the participation conditions in the terms.

## Compliance and access controls

Suno's anti-money-laundering and anti-terrorist-financing program combines identity checks, sanctions screening, ongoing monitoring, suspicious-activity reporting, record keeping, and staff training.

The desk's admission registry controls access to deposits and redemptions. Separate blocklists and pauses can restrict token movements or platform operations. Controlling your wallet keys does not override these controls.

Read the AML/ATF Policy Statement for the program's scope and responsibilities, and the [Privacy Policy](/legal/privacy-policy.md) for how verification data is handled.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.suno.finance/legal/eligibility-and-onboarding.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
